Better United Kingdom than others

"La main
sur le coeur: est ma responsabilite, de faire de l'Algerie une Nation des Merveilles." H.E. Mr. President Bouteflika.
Algerian President Bouteflika's visit to London in July 2006, the
first by a President of Algeria, marked the deepening and expanding relations between Algeria and the United Kingdom. The
official visit heralded greater cooperation between the two countries across a range of sectors including stronger business
and trade links. A clear indication of the growing awarness among UK firms on the Algerian market is the recent sharp increase
in the UK trade mission to Algeria. Many UK companies have expressed an interest in greater participation in projects financed
by Algeria's sizeable public investment programme. The two countries are continuing to work towards developing ever stronger
commercial ties and are developing closer partnership in education, social, legal, and cultural activities.
